VA Warns Veterans About Job Scams

The Department of Veterans Affairs has issued a reminder that job scams are on the rise and often target veterans and military families. Scammers may ask for money upfront, promise unusually high wages, or pressure you to act quickly.

Watch for red flags such as requests for personal or banking information, vague job descriptions, and offers that seem too good to be true. Verify any employer through official channels, never send money to secure a job, and report suspicious postings to the VA or your local law‑enforcement agency.
